Closed, School Locked Down for Manhunt After Pursuit, Burglary.
Streets are closed and at least one school is locked down Monday
morning due to a search after a man ran from a vehicle Monday morning at the
end of a brief pursuit southwest of downtown Los Angeles.
At
least two people were detained after the pursuit in the West Adams District,
but police are still searching for one man near Western Avenue and West 24th
Street. No detailed description of the manhunt subject was immediately
available.
The
pursuit, which lasted about five minutes, began after a report of a burglary in
progress in the 400 block of North Fairfax Avenue. The pursuit ended on the 10
Freeway and Western Avenue.
The
24th Street Elementary School was locked down during the search, police said.
