IP Cameras

IP Cameras Installation Los Angeles

An Internet protocol Camera, or IP camera , is a type of digital video camera commonly employed for surveillance, and which unlike analog closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras can send and receive data via a computer network and the Internet.
There are two kinds of IP cameras:
Centralized IP cameras, which require a central Network Video Recorder(NVR) to handle the recording, video and alarm management.
Decentralized IP cameras, which do not require a central Network Video Recorder (NVR) , as the cameras have recording function built-in and can thus record directly to local storage media, such as flash drives and hard disk drives or to standard network attached storage.

DarkHotel: A Sophisticated New Hacking Attack Targets High-Profile Hotel Guests

The hotel guest probably never knew what hit him. When he tried to get online using his five-star hotel’s WiFi network, he got a pop-up alerting him to a new Adobe software update. When he clicked to accept the download, he got a malicious executable instead.
What he didn’t know was that the sophisticated attackers who targeted him had been lurking on the hotel’s network for days waiting for him to check in. They uploaded their malware to the hotel’s server days before his arrival, then deleted it from the hotel network days after he left.
That’s the conclusion reached by researchers at Kaspersky Lab and the third-party company that manages the WiFi network of the unidentified hotel where the guest stayed, located somewhere in Asia. Kaspersky says the attackers have been active for at least seven years, conducting surgical strikes against targeted guests at other luxury hotels in Asia as well as infecting victims via spear-phishing attacks and P2P networks.

JUST AMAZING! A Dutch-based engineering student has revealed a prototype 'ambulance drone'... a flying defibrillator!

It can fly at speeds up to 100 kms per hour and tracks emergency mobile calls using GPS to navigate.

If an ambulance took 10 minutes to reach a cardiac arrest patient, the chance of survival is only 8%. But the drone can get a defibrillator to a patient inside a 12 km sq zone within a minute, increasing the chance of survival to 80%.

Once at the scene, an operator, like a paramedic, can watch, talk and instruct those helping the victim by using an on-board camera connected to a control room.
